Chassydi Butts-Jones, MPA, MBA is a seasoned business operations strategist with over 18 years of experience driving operational excellence across government, healthcare, academic, and corporate sectors. 

Chassydi was appointed Chief Administrative Officer for Health Sciences at Howard University in 2009, where she provided executive leadership and operational oversight for the university's hospital, colleges, research centers, and health facilities. Notably, she led the acquisition of two facilities at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, creating opportunities for expanded community-based outpatient care.

Chassydi's distinguished federal government career began in 2012, where she has held consulting roles at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food & Drug Administration (FDA). At the CDC, she played a critical role within the Emergency Operations Center, supporting global health crises such as Zika and Ebola. As the Management & Operations Lead for the Ebola Vaccine Clinical Trial Task Force, she successfully managed daily operations for trials conducted in both Atlanta, Georgia and Sierra Leone, West Africa. She later served as Deputy, and ultimately the Lead of Operations, for the Pregnancy and Birth Defects Task Force during the CDC’s Zika emergency response.

Her contributions have earned national recognition. She was honored with the Power 30 Under 30 Award in Washington, D.C., and in 2017, she received the CDC Honor Award for Excellence in Epidemiology (International) for her role in the ZEN Zika study in Colombia. That same year, she was acknowledged by the FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products for streamlining hiring processes and successfully rebranding the Office of Management.

Chassydi holds dual master’s degrees—an MBA and an MPA—from Keller Graduate School of Management and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from DeVry University. She is also a certified Six Sigma Champion, underscoring her commitment to operational efficiency and quality improvement.

Originally from Milledgeville, Georgia, Chassydi now resides in Atlanta, where she enjoys swimming, traveling, sports, and spending time with her family. Through The Board Room Consulting Group, she continues to lead transformative initiatives for clients across the private, public, nonprofit, and government sectors—delivering smart solutions that elevate performance and position organizations for sustainable success.
